Runaway Train

The spooky squeal of haunted brakes,
The death rattle wailing down the rails--
A late-night train
Flies off the compass in the dark.
Returning, panting 'round the globe,
Its ghostly mission fails--
To nowhere, otherworldly hums
Conduct a crash for windy space.

I agree with Emma. Very cool poem. I've always loved trains.
Hi Aunt Carolyn! This was a neat poem which I greatly enjoyed reading! Emma
